The Man Who Planted a Forest No One Believed In

From My Desk

Hey sis, I need you to sit with something for a second.

And I need you to know it does not mean you are doing it wrong. It might just mean you are still in the planting season. This issue is for every woman who is doing the work before the work starts working. Keep reading.

You do not need more tactics. You need one system built with integrity and the patience to let it work.

The Farmer Who Planted a Forest He Might Never Enjoy

Case FileCase File Molai Forest Assam India 1979

In 1979, a 16-year-old boy named Jadav Payeng walked across a barren sandbar in Assam, India.

What he saw changed his life.

After seasonal flooding, the water had receded and left behind dozens of dead snakes baking in the sun. There were no trees to provide shade. No vegetation. Just exposed sand and heat.

Most people would have felt sad and moved on.

Payeng did something different.

He planted a few bamboo seedlings.

That was it. No grand plan. No nonprofit. No government funding. No audience. Just one person planting a few trees because he thought the land deserved better.

Then he kept going. 🌱

The next day he planted more. And the day after that. And the day after that.

Weeks became months. Months became years. Years became decades.

While most people were looking for dramatic change, Payeng was quietly repeating a small action over and over again.

Eventually something remarkable happened.

The barren sandbar began to transform. Trees multiplied. Wildlife returned. Birds arrived. Deer appeared. Elephants started visiting.

The area grew into a thriving forest covering roughly 1,360 acres and became known as Molai Forest, named after the man who created it. Today it supports a wide range of plant and animal life and stands as one of the most extraordinary examples of what sustained effort can accomplish.

The lesson is not really about trees. It is about time.

We tend to underestimate what small actions can become when repeated long enough. One workout does not change your body. One sale does not build a business. One post does not create an audience. One conversation does not build a relationship.

But thousands of those actions, stacked together over years, can create something that seems impossible to the people who only see the finished result.

Forests do not appear overnight. Neither do most worthwhile things.

The people who create extraordinary outcomes are often just the people who kept planting when nobody was paying attention.

If you are working toward something meaningful right now, do not judge your progress by today's results. Judge it by whether you are still planting. The right systems, habits, and opportunities matter, but they only work if they are given enough time to grow.

. . .
What This Means For Your Business

Here is what is actually happening in your business. You are making random sales because nothing in your business is connected. Your post goes up, someone sees it, maybe they buy, and then the moment is gone. There is no path that takes a stranger and walks her all the way to a purchase on repeat. That is not a hustle problem. That is a systems problem.

The one thing you can do starting today is map out the three steps a customer takes from finding you to buying from you. Just three steps. Write them down on paper. Where do they find you, where do they go next, and where do they buy. That simple map is the beginning of a real system. When you can see the path, you can fix the gaps. That is how random sales become consistent ones.

P.S. P.S. Most people are looking for a breakthrough. Payeng looked for a shovel. What small thing could you do today that your future self will thank you for.

System Spotlight

One Step Does the Work everything together.

Think about a vending machine. You do not have to be standing there for someone to get what they need. They put in their money, make a selection, and the machine delivers. That is exactly what a simple business system does for you while you are sitting in your 9-to-5 meeting. It moves people from curious to paying without you lifting a finger.

This week, pick one place where people find you and make sure there is one clear next step waiting for them. Not ten steps. One. Where should they go after they see you? A page, a form, a way to get on your list. Just one clear next step. Set it up once and let it do the work for you. That is your planting moment right there.

📧
Map Your Path
Grab a piece of paper and write down the three steps a customer takes to buy from you. If you cannot name all three, that is exactly where your sales are getting lost.
🛒
Find the Gap
Look at step two on your customer path. That is usually where people fall off. Tighten that one connection this week and watch what changes.
🔄
Set One Next Step
Pick one place where people find you and make sure there is one clear action waiting for them. Not a menu of options. One next step that moves them closer to buying.
📊
Plant Something Today
Send one message, post one piece of content, or make one small update to your business today. Not perfect. Just planted. Consistency compounds.

"Before joining the academy, I had the ideas, the creativity, and the drive, but I needed a real system to pull everything together. Once I started learning and applying the process, things started clicking — my content, offers, funnels, email list, and automation finally made sense as one business system. My biggest breakthrough was realizing I didn’t have to keep guessing or doing everything manually; I could build something organized, professional, and scalable. I would tell any woman on the fence to stop waiting until everything feels perfect — get in the room, learn the system, and start building with what you already have."
